Tui 42 Pack
The NZ-made Tui 42 is among the lightest multiday packs in the world and stands out with its many unique patterns. Once you've solved the ultralight puzzle, this is the pack that will complete your kit; and like its namesake, you'll stand out among the crowd!
The Tui 42 is a frameless ultralight tramping backpack designed for short weekend trips and thru-hikes alike. Each design has been hand-selected or created from scratch by our team.

Features
42L total pack volume:
- 32L+ internal volume with a rolled down top. Additional volume is available depending on how full you pack the bag.
- The external side and front pockets provide an extra 10L which includes the two 550mL hip belt pockets.
- 7 external pockets total
Full Features List:
- Hanging loop on the front of the pack.
- Roll down top helps compress your gear to improve structure.
- Adjustable hip belt provides a variable torso length within a 7cm range.
- Adjustable sternum strap.
- Stretch pockets on shoulder straps designed for phones, snacks, sunglasses, PLB, or other small items.
HyperD 300, a 300-denier polyester diamond grid fabric. Durable and highly water resistant (although we don't seal the seams, so it will not be fully waterproof, and a pack liner is recommended).
The pack weighs approximately 420g when complete. The hip belt can be removed to subtract 100g, and once you cut all the strapping to your desired length, the result is a ~300g pack!
All features can be seen in the video included in the image gallery at the top of the product page.

The comfort rating on the Tui 42 is 10kg, with a max load rating of 12.5kg (the point at which the pack may be damaged). Please take this seriously: if you plan to carry more weight for your trip, including your food and water, this pack is not appropriate for that trip!
